Candyfloss

This book is very exciting and has a great insight to family life especially when you have to choose between the two of your parents.

Floss's parents split when she was little and has longed for them to get back together. She spends 5 days with her mum and 2 days helping her dad in his greasy spoon cafe. Her mother decides to move to australia with her new boyfriend and floss's half brother Tiger, However Floss does not want to leave her father. She chooses to stay with her dad and embarks on a new, exciting life with him, joining a travelling fair and running a candy floss stand.

If you like Jacqueline Wilson you will love this book as it follows the same theme which includes to difficulties in life for children.

At the sign of the Sugared Plum: Mary Hooper

Plot summery:
Hannah has lived all her life in the English countryside, so she is thrilled when, in the summer of 1665, her older sister Sarah invites her to come live with her in London and help her at her candy shop. However, arriving in London she finds Sarah had sent a second letter instructing her not to come. Plague has taken hold in London, and Sarah fears for Hannah's life. Hannah insists on staying, believing she will be safe. But to her horror, in the coming weeks more and more people die, and the sickness becomes an epidemic. Hannah finds herself living every day in fear that she will catch the Plague and die from it, for there is little hope of surviving it, and no way of leaving the city to escape.

This book is nail biting, and keep me on the edge of my seat when i read it. However it is also very sad as Hannah and Sarah have no idea if they will wake up the next morning alive and live day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute, second by second.

I would definitely recommend this book to you if you love descriptive, emotional and powerful books. This book deserves a ***** star rating! I REALLY DO RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO YOU!!!!

Lola rose by jaqualine wilson

This book is a very touching story. It can make you laugh or cry. It's all about children who have to work on their own and look after their siblings and have big responisiblities.
When jayni and her mum and brother win the lottery they begin a new life away from their violent dad. They choose different names and jayni chooses lola rose. But when her mum finds out she has cancer she has to go to hospital leaving lola rose to look after her brother. she calls her aunt to help out but meanwhile thier father is on the trail and trackes them down
I would give this book a **** rating because it is a really touching and moving book. My faveourite character is her aunt because she is very kind and caring and gives up alot of her time for others even though she might look a little scary

Kiss by Jacqueline Wilson

Hello, my first post :) It's gonna be about The book called Kiss by Jacqueline Wilson. I'm littary obbsessed with her books they are the only ones i can really get into. Anyway this is one of her books for older children because the younger children wouldn't understand the complex and mature storyline. Anyway Sylvie and Carl have been friends since little kids doing everything together and called each other boyfriend and girlfriend.... and Sylvie believs they will end up marrying each other. As they become teenagers they go to different schools and have different friends. Sylvie still want's to spend all her time with Carl, however he has a new freind called Paul which is all is taking to his attention. While playing a game called spin the bottle and avoids kissing her. She knows his feelings have changed for her. But can she guess the reason for this. I'm not gonna spoil it for you guys you gotta guess i just typed out the blurb but this story goes deep down and really makes you think what is gonna happen next. Although this book is pointed at older children it is very interesting and is a book you cannot put down!

In my opinion this is a great book and i am giving it 4 Stars XD :) <3 xxxx
